António Guterres is a candidate for the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations. It is an honour for Portugal to count on his candidacy, officially presented in February of 2016. The long professional experience of Mr. Antonio Guterres, including work developed close to some of the most vulnerable groups, namely vulnerable to crime, such as refugees. This sensitivity is ever more important in a moment when the number of refugees and displaced people reaches particularly alarming numbers.
